Marauder

Posted in 3D WIP with tags , on December 11, 2007 by vinsenjunior

Ok, this on is a model which I made when I’m learning to switch software to Softimage XSI. The tools are more sophisticated than 3dsmax, especially the sub component selection methods. Although I can’t say the modeling tools are whole better than max, because in max there are tools that aren’t available in XSI.

The model itself is a Marauder mech from Mech Warrior.

Now this is image is a continuation from the previous Frank plane. I thought why not make a US aircraft like a mustang and make a battle scene with the previous plane. Then I pick the favorite P51D Mustang, and start modeling and texturing it. I also made the B29 Superfortress for the background. And here it is..

Old shack

This is a scene which I made for the entry test in Infinite Frameworks Studios as a prop modeler.
A combination of hard surface and organic models in this scene, I’m quite satisfied with the result.

Flight to destiny

This was done early 2006, from my last days @ Mirage Post. I wanted to create an image of a japanese WWII plane. There were a lot of ‘em to pick, but I picked the Ki-84 Nakajima Hayate a.k.a “Franks” because it is huge and has character.
This is also the first work which I hand painted the texture from zero.

The image was well received in deviantArt and was given Daily Deviation :D

There are 2 versions, the color and the toned version.

One day I look at a picture of a female kokeshi doll. It was so cute and I thought why not make a whole family of it?

And so I did.. :)
